He was walking to school in the morning in Mansour, there was an explosion near an American checkpoint and he began running to the checkpoint with several other people for proteciton. The americans jsut began shooting everyone, so they began running away from the checkpoint when militants showed up and began firing at the americans.

Omar was shot in the shoulder and fell down and lost consciousness, when he woke up he was in the hosptial. he doesnt know how he got there. later he heard that his brother and father were detained after the actions and they lost their home because, as he says, it was "taken" by the americans. i am working on getting the exact dates of this event, i believe it is recent, within the last year or two. He says the doctors told him it was an american bullet that hit him, but he didn't seem to be sure. he says he still has problems with his arm, pain, he can't use it fully, as well as having some psychological problems. (there is video of his wound)

He worked in Doura Mehdia Neighborhood, and lived near the Electrical department (or power plant, its not clear to me) aat the beginning of the war there were no problems but after saddam was captured there began to be soem problems in doura. there were soldiers stationed near the high tension lines in doura, and he stepped out of his house one day when he heard shooting, to see what was happening. he's not exactly sure who shot him, but there were only americans aroundand the bullets came from their direction. -i dont have the rest of the summary yet, but as i udnerstood from Firas, the bullet went into his back, it just missed his spine and there is a lot of shrapnel in his leg, he still has a lot of medical problems and i belive has not received any compensation, but its not clear to me. Middle age man speaking about his injury ,the accident happened in 2003 after the fall of regime .He was going back home after being in a friends house in Al Jihad district and he saw US army soldiers and vehicles . He passed by them and they started shooting at him, the shot him and his car, he got gun shot wounds in his leg and he stopped the car, got out to one of his neighbors houses, then the soldiers followed him to that house and their translator was talking to him, they knew that he is a sheik and they started treating him, then they took him to the nearest hospital ,dropped him off and left. They didn’t say sorry or why they shot him. He spent 8 days at the hospital then went back home .No one from the army came to say anything for him and he was scared that they might come back and arrested him. When he was at the hospital he was worried about his family cause they didn’t know what happened to him and people might go up to them and tell them that either got killed by the American or kidnapped or anything might make them worried about him. He spent 8 months staying at home after that. He got compound fractures that needed cast and wound care. He went to Syria after that for treatment and now he is living on what his family and friends send to him for living and treatment .He lost his house and all of his properties after he left his house. Now he feeling so insulted because he is sheik and he is responsible for a group of people that he can't take care of them because he is injured and living in an other country. He is also still in need for more medical and psychological treatment .

1-The name of the gentleman being interviewed is Mohammed Amer ,age 37 from Al A'adhamiya district in Baghdad.

2- He has witnessed the American soldiers firing their weapons randomly against civilians and civil properties after there were a clashes between Iraqi police forces supported by the militia men attached Al A'adhamiya district and the people of Al A'adhamiya who were trying to rebel the attacker ,the battle lasted a day and a half after that the American forces hurried into the area and soldier started shooting randomly ,he thinks they were doing that for 2 reasons first they wanted the clashes between the Iraqi policemen and the people of Al A'adamiya to stop and seconf cause they were afraid of the Iraqi resistance.

3- In May 2005 he has witnessed American soldier arresting an Iraqi man after they raid his shop ,the man was a car mechanic and the soldiers found weapons in his shop. The man being interviewed thinks that the car mechanic was part of Iraqi resistance. The soldiers arrested that car mechanic who was calling them bad names and was trying to resist them by his hands. The soldiers shot that man and killed him.

4- Mohammed also stated that he has watched the war of Falloja on TV and he saw American soldier killing 2 innocent Iraqi civilians and arrested the 3rd one after they attacked a masque.

5-In March 2005 he saw 7 dead and disfigured bodies for 7 Iraqi young men who were firing mortar rounds against American forces. The American soldiers set an ambush for them and killed them , after they killed them they disfigured their bodies by knifes . He didn’t see the soldiers doing that but he is strongly believes that they did.

6- He stated that one of his relatives who lives in Al Sha'ab district told that the American forces used cluster bombs in 2003 and that caused too many civilian causalities. He also mentioned that US army used white phosphorus in the battle of the airport during the invasion and in the war of Falloja.

7- He said in 4th of April 2007 at 02:30 am the was a US forces raid on his house to arrest his younger brother.He said that the soldiers beat him , his dad and his father. They also threatened to assault his sisters sexually ,they stole their money ,their cell phones and even his blankets. He was sure that they were not just threatening that they would sexually assault his family , he was sure that they would do it cause they have done it before and he mentioned that young Iraqi girl who got rapped ,killed and burned .

7- He doesn’t think that the American liberated Iraq ,he thinks that they occupied Iraq.

8- He said that the US forces have destroyed many housed belongs to some wealthy Iraqi civilian after they stole their money and they destroyed the housed to hide the evidences against them.

9- He heard that the American when they took over Iraq they stole millions of dollars from the Iraqi central bank.

10- He said he doesn’t have any documents or anything to prove what he said.
